My bodywork practice began as an intuitive journey and continues to evolve as a healing conversation between clients and myself. Relaxation, self-reflection, energetic rebalancing, and restructuring asymmetries are the basic intentions for every session. Pressure can be adjusted according to your preference. Always refreshing my practice with new tools, some of the main modalities I use are listed below:

Thai Massage

Thai massage (Nuad Bo Rarn) is a healing, spiritual art with roots in Ayurveda and Yoga. Dating back to the time of the Buddha, this ancient form of massage is a cross between acupressure and yoga. Pressure is applied in a rhythmic sequence along energy (sen) lines with the practitioner uses their thumbs, hands, and feet to stimulate the movement of energy in the body. Passive, yoga-based stretches are used to free muscular and joint tension. Designed to be both relaxing and stimulating, deep and balancing, Thai massage improves flexibility, reduces tension, stimulates internal organs, and balances the body's energy system. Sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes and are performed on a floor mat with the client dressed in comfortable loose clothing.

Swedish, Deep Tissue
& Tui Na

A traditional relaxation massage with structurally therapeutic benefits, I blend flowing Swedish strokes to increase circulation, release tension and provide a sense of calm with Deep Tissue techniques focused on areas of structural imbalance. While Deep Tissue can often bring receivers to the brink of their pain tolerance, my approach is slow and steady, so that I can ‘listen’ to the responses of the body. Deep Tissue involves sustained pressure in areas of intensity while the client breathes fully into those spaces. Active Release Technique is another way to work with the deeper layers of muscle and fascia to release adhesions and patterns of tension. Tui Na is a Chinese technique which involves rocking, gentle shaking, and joint mobilization. Used in China as physical therapy, this technique smoothes connective tissue and opens the Meridians (energy lines) and produces an energized, yet relaxed effect. All of these techniques can be blended together on the table, depending on your needs and goals for the session.
