THAI MASSAGE TRAININGS
In 2010, I began teaching Foundational Thai Massage Trainings, after 8 years of practicing this ancient and powerful modality. My trainings consist of 30 hours of in-person instruction which covers topics of body mechanics, basic anatomy, ethics, and safety which set the baseline to learn a 90-minute sequence including supine (face-up), prone (face-down), and seated positions.
Foundational trainings can be structured as 4 consecutive days or two weekends. These trainings also work well as modules within yoga teacher trainings. Participants are then encouraged to practice and share the work with family, friends, and current clients. Thai Massage is extremely applicable for yoga teachers, physical therapists, personal trainers, as well as table massage therapists.
Student feedback:
"This whole training has been such a gift. I learned so much more than Thai Massage and it will benefit me in my yoga teaching and my life! Thank you!"
"Carolyn has such a wealth of knowledge that goes beyond Thai Massage. I appreciate her grounded energy and all of the wisdom from her practical experience. I especially loved the focus on movement and sustainability for the practitioner."

Acroyoga workshops & privates
In 2005, I had the pleasure of co-creating a practice now called AcroYoga International with Jason Nemer, Jenny Sauer-Klein, and Francisco Morales-Bermudez, in San Francisco. Our meeting was fortuitous and the synchronicity was immediate. Together we blended our expertise and passions to create a dynamic practice which combined their expertise in acrobatics and circus yoga and my experience in Thai Massage and healing arts. Over a decade later, AcroYoga International has over 1,000 trained teachers and thousands of practitioners worldwide. Our rapid growth and international visibility helped to popularize other acrobatic and mixed movement practices, which ultimately connected even more people around the globe. Careers have been launched, true loves have been found, and a new generation of acro babies are growing up on their parents' feet and hands.
I've personally co-facilitated eight Level One Teacher Trainings with AYI and have taught hundreds of workshops and intensives internationally. I'm honored to have been a vital part of this practice which has influenced so many to discover freedom in it's many forms. Ultimately, the potential for transformation - physical, psychological, spiritual - is the most compelling element to my work within AcroYoga, and what I hope to share with anyone whom the practice reaches.
After 13 years of teaching with AcroYoga International, I am focusing my teaching in the realm of private sessions and customized group events. The tools of AcroYoga are highly applicable for corporate team-building, interpersonal dynamics, community bonding, self-care program development, and personal fitness.
Enduring gratitude to my teachers: Nateshvar Ken Scott, Jason Nemer, Jenny Sauer-Klein, Master Lu Yi, Niko Dowes, Emily Baxter, Martin Kvist, and the many students who have helped me hone my craft.
Student feedback:
"Honestly, I was pretty scared to try this but you were really welcoming. With your expert instruction, my partner and I did poses that we never thought possible - and had so much fun doing it! This is a game-changer, thank you."
